Sligo Rovers wishes to extend a sincere gratitude to the Dublin Supporters Club (DSC) for a donation of €3,500 that was received this week.
The DSC handed over money that was fundraised from projects in 2010, largely coming from the successful Golden Goal competition which ran throughout last season.
The Golden Goal competitions started last March and proved a big hit among supporters.
The DSC aim to continue with the venture and hope to surpass the total raised in 2010 in the upcoming campaign.
The DSC would also like to thank all supporters who bought the tickets and hope that this donation makes your support worthwhile.
It was another tremendous year for the DSC, with several social events and trips taking place, including two nights where manager Paul Cook was special guest of the Supporters Club.
Last December, Cook and former chairman Dermot Kelly attended a special night in the Barge pub on Charlemont street, long time home of the DSC, where the FAI and EA Sports Cup trophies were present . It was seen as a reward for years of hard work by the DSC and a memorable night was enjoyed by all in attendance as the cup came home for all the exiled supporters in the capital.
The DSC has been a constant medium of support for the club at matches in the capital and continues to be an institution of brand identity for the Bit O'Red in Dublin.
